Here is the third and final version of our latest make money blogger template first converted here at eBlog Templates. This amazing PassionDuo template for Blogger comes in three colors: red, blue, and now green.

This template includes several popular ad formats for your blog. You get a 468 x 60 banner spot in the header, six 125 x 125 banner spots in the right sidebar, and plenty of other sidebar spots for skyscraper banners.

We’ve also included our popular sidebar widgets such as Recent Posts, Recent Comments, and the cool Feedjit (real time visitor widget). Just paste in your blog rss feed urls into the Recent Posts & Comments widgets and they’ll start working.

Unlike most other custom make money blogger templates, we’ve taken the extra step and setup the “Fonts & Colors” functionality. That means you can change all the colors and font styles easily by just using the built in Blogger section. We’ve also customized the comments section so it looks very professional as well.

PassionDuo also includes top tabs which can be added via your Blogger page element screen. The rss feed icon will automatically appear once you add your first tab so don’t be alarmed after you first install it.

Configuring the rest of this template is actually quite easy. You can swap out the ads and replace them with your own or feel free to keep the existing ones if you don’t have any to use. Make sure you check the “Expand Widget Templates” checkbox on the “Edit HTML” page within Blogger before trying to make any edits. Also make sure to backup your old template just in case you make a mistake.

Let’s start with the 468 x 60 header banner. Search for “
<!-- Delete or replace with your ad -->
” in the template code and the first one you come across is where you replace the ad.

The second instance of “
<!-- Delete or replace with your ad -->
” is for the Google AdSense code which you can either keep, replace, or just remove completely.

For the six 125 x 125 banner ads you’ll need to find “
<!-- Replace with your ads -->
” and update those one by one. Make sure not to delete the
<li>
and
</li>
before and after each ad otherwise it will look funny. If you don’t already have ads to use, I recommend clicking through each banner and become an affiliate. Then you can replace the affiliate codes with your own and start making money!

The theme was created for Daily Blog Tips by DesignSaurus as a WordPress theme. eBlog Templates converted this theme into Blogger which you can download for free once you register.

Look out MySpace and Facebook, Google has decided to enter the social networking game. Google announced the launch last weekend and has just opened up beta testing to a select number of people. I think this is a great move by Google and will quickly become a contender in this space.

Google Friend Connect is a service that helps website owners grow traffic by enabling any site on the web to easily provide social features for its visitors. any website owner can add a snippet of code to his or her site and get social features up and running immediately without programming — picking and choosing from built-in functionality like user registration, invitations, members gallery, message posting, and reviews, as well as third-party applications built by the OpenSocial developer community.

Google Friend Connect boasts the following high-level features:

Attract more visitors to your site – Visitors bring along friends from social networks like Facebook, orkut, and others to interact on your site.

Enrich your site with social features – Choose engaging social features from a catalog of gadgets provided by Google and the OpenSocial developer community.

No programming whatsoever – Just copy and paste snippets of code into your site, and Google Friend Connect does the rest.

There are a couple of demo sites already setup which you can test and interact with.

If you’re interested in being part of the beta testing group, you can apply directly on their site here. I just applied today so hopefully I will get accepted and can start using Google Friend Connect on eBlog Templates.

If you’re looking for a great make money online Blogger template then I’ve got news for you. Blogging Pro is the latest and greatest web 2.0 template built just for that. This is another exciting cutting-edge Blogger template that we’re giving away for free and all we ask of you is to keep the footer links intact.

You might see some other conversions of this template out there but I promise you’ll find ours to be top-notch and feature-rich. Check out our live Blogging Pro for Blogger demo to see and interact with the template before you even download it!

This template was originally designed for WordPress by Design Disease and converted to WordPress by Blogging Pro. We loved this template but were disappointed we couldn’t find a good conversion for Blogger users so guess what? We converted it to Blogger ourselves!

It’s a rounded corners, web 2.0, three column, orange and shaded blue beauty with some great features and widgets you’d normally only find with a WordPress theme. Here’s a list of what’s included:

Dynamic header tab creation

Prime location AdSense header ad space

Multiple rss feed subscription options ready to go (Blogger rss, Technorati, and Feedburner)

Custom individual post date display

Addthis bookmark and sharing individual post widget

FEEDJIT live traffic feed widget

Custom comments image display

Three column footer with your recent posts, recent comments, and recommended money maker links

Amazon deal of the day dynamic widget

Clean and organized template layout editor screen

You can see from this screenshot that the actual editor is nicely setup so you don’t need to scroll or try and figure out how to click on the “edit” widget links. Most templates that you download make it tough to edit — not this one!

Now before you can get fully up and running with this new Blogger template, you’ll need to properly set things up. Please follow the steps below and read items carefully. The same questions are usually asked over and over by people posting comments, yet the answers are usually right in front of them. This is especially true for why the post date might not be working on your blog.Let’s start from the top of the template and work our way down each item. Don’t be too surprised when the template doesn’t look like the screenshot when you first load it up. You’ve got some configuring to do first!

Top Tabs Setup

This is actually pretty easy since the top tabs are a link list. You don’t need to alter the template code. Just go into your Blogger page layout and click on the “edit” of the “top tabs” widget. Start adding new links and then save. A “home” link will automatically appear once you setup this widget so you won’t need to add one. Save and refresh your blog to see the pretty new tabs you just created. Here’s what it should look like (different names of course)

Configure The Three Header RSS Links

This section is actually setup to dynamically work except for the Feedburner link. You’ll first need to have a FeedBurner account. If you don’t already have one, please read the “How to Setup FeedBurner on Blogger” article and then come back.

Once you’ve got your FeedBurner account, you’ll need to edit this template code and replace a few parts. Search your template code for the following text:
<strong>YOUR-FEED-NAME-HERE</strong>
. Replace the text with your FeedBurner name (i.e. eBlogTemplates is ours)

After you’ve changed this link save your template and check to see if it works. If you’re having trouble finding your feed name or id, please read our article above or see FeedBurner’s help section to locate it.

Header AdSense Setup

This is a great location for showing ads and we really like how the designer laid everything out. The default ads are just a placeholder but of course feel free to use them until you find a replacement. You’ll need to again edit the template code to swap out the ads. Search your template for <div class=”Syndicate”> and right below that is where you’ll find the ad code block.

Remember, when you paste in your own ads you will need to convert the ad code into a workable Blogger format otherwise you’ll get an error when trying to save it. Use our free AdSense Code Converter to change it automatically for you. You can also look at the existing ad code included in the template and use it as a model.

Individual Post Date Setup

This is a very important step and one that most people think is broken when they install the template. It’s not folks. You just need to go into your Blogger settings and make a small change before it will work.

After you install the Blogging Pro template, go to your Blogger’s “Settings” => “Formatting” and look for “Timestamp Format”. Make sure you change it to this format: “Tuesday, January 25,2008? as shown below.

This needs to be set in this format otherwise the date won’t show up properly on each of your posts! Actually the date will most likely be blank and you’ll think the template is broken. Remember to change the TIMESTAMP FORMAT (fourth item down on the page) and NOT the Date Header Format option.

Amazon Deal of the Day Widget

This is actually a really cool widget put into the sidebar by default. If you have never heard of Amazon’s “Deal of the Day” then you’ve been missing out! Basically each day Amazon has one special item they drastically reduce in price.

Before you’d have to visit their site to see the deal but now it gets delivered directly to your Blogger site! If you want to replace or remove this widget you’ll need to edit the code and look for the following text “amazon-widget”. The line of code below that is the actual Amazon widget so just remove or replace it.

Footer Recent Posts and Comments Widgets

I really love this part about the template. In the past, your footer was an overlooked piece of real estate on your blog. With this template, it makes good use of your footer like many of the other pro bloggers out there today.

This one is easy to setup since we’ve already written an entire article dedicated to this. Please see “How to Setup Recent Comments and Posts Widgets” to configure these two widgets. These two widgets will both appear in the footer once you configure them properly. It’s a very good use of space and provides search engine spiders an entry point into your blog content.

Recommended Money Makers Section

This is the other footer element which comes already setup with our recommended money maker links and programs. This idea came from the ProBlogger.net web site and we included it in our template. You are welcome to keep the links intact or feel free to replace them with your own. You will need to edit the template code to swap them out and also have affiliate accounts setup with each vendor. It’s easy if you don’t have any accounts. Just click on each footer link to setup a new account. Search your template code for “Recommended Money Makers” and you’ll see the links below that.

Live Traffic Feed Sidebar Widget

This is a really cool feature within this template and the best part is you don’t need to do anything to setup it up! There are some further options if you click on “options >>” on your actual blog page under the widget but that’s it. This is a sample of what it will look like once you start generating some traffic (or more traffic) to your blog.

You should now have the template all setup and ready to go. I hope you enjoy this beauty and please make sure to keep the footer links intact since numerous hours of my time and the original designer were put into making it. That’s all we ask for giving away this template! Enjoy!

Thanks again to Design Disease and the Blogging Pro guys for making this wonderful template available for free. It was a great challenge converting it to Blogger but it was well worth the trouble.

If you’re looking for a new Blogger template, you came at the right time. Hands down, this is the best template we’ve converted here at eBlog Templates. It’s a wonderful web 2.0 popular blog layout with some great built in ad spots (hence the template name) and features.

It’s either a two or 3 column template (you can change it on the fly) so you get the best of both worlds. This Blogger template is what I call a “powerhouse” template since almost all the features you need are already built in. On top of that, it’s quite easy to setup and makes your blog look like a professional site without much effort.

I predict this template will be a top template on this site within a few months, if not weeks. With the amount of effort that went into converting this template and attention to details, I sure hope you appreciate this free amazing new xml Blogger/Blogspot template.

Features Include

Two or Three right side columns which are easy to switch (default is three)

Three great location ad spots (header banner 468 x 60, three 125 x 125 buttons in sidebar, and a 468 x 60 AdSense banner above the first post)

Integrated Feedburner rss and subscribe via email sidebar module (also includes “add to favorites” Technorati link)

Built-in live traffic feed widget from FEEDJIT

Built-in MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog recent reader widgets

Dynamic tabs easily created by editing the link list widget

Search box without the need for a “go” button

Recent posts and comments widgets

Nicely designed individual blog post comments section

Properly setup Blogger layout editor

You can see from this screenshot that the actual editor is nicely setup so you don’t need to scroll or try and figure out how to click on the “edit” widget links. Most templates that you download make it tough to edit — not this one!

This template does require some configuration in order to get it working as designed. Please follow the steps below if you’d like it to work properly. I also recommend backing up your existing template before changing just in case you run into any problems. You could also setup a new Blogger blog as a test area and try installing it there first.

Top Tabs Setup

When you first install this template the top tabs will not be visible which is normal. You’ll need to go into the Blogger page element layout editor and edit the “Top Tabs” widget. It’s a link list so just add whatever tabs you want. Don’t add a “Home” tab since it will automatically appear once you create and save the tab widget.

Header Ad Banner

The default banner is hardcoded into the template but will disappear when you add anything to this widget. It’s an HTML widget so you can put the banner ad code straight into this box. This widget can also be deleted if you don’t have a 468 x 60 and you’ll just be left with the black header. Here’s the default ad code if you want to use it as a model:

<a href="http://www.linkworth.com?a=10230" target="_blank">
<img src="http://www.linkworth.com/adm/affiliate_manager/affiliate_banners/bann-36.gif" border="0" />
</a>

FeedBurner RSS and Email Links

To get this section working you’ll first need to have a FeedBurner account. If you don’t already have one, please read the “How to Setup FeedBurner on Blogger” article and then come back. Another option is to just delete this widget if you’re not interested in knowing your subscriber count or allowing your readers an easy way to subscribe.

Once you’ve got your FeedBurner account, you’ll need to edit this template code and replace a few parts. Search your template code for the following line
<!-- Replace Your RSS, RSS Email Subscription, and Technorati -->
and then look right below that for the rss feed link.

http://feeds.feedburner.com/<strong>YOUR-FEED-NAME-HERE</strong>
. Replace the text in red with your FeedBurner name (i.e. eBlogTemplates is ours)

Next we’ll need to update the subscribe via email link with your feed id. You’ll need to make sure to enable subscribe via email within FeedBurner otherwise this part won’t work.

http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/emailverifySubmit?feedId=YOUR-FEED-ID-HERE&loc=en_US

After you’ve changed both of these areas save your template and check to see if it works. If you’re having trouble finding your feed name or id, please read our article above or see FeedBurner’s help section to locate it.

125 x 125 Ad Section

These are the three ads in the right sidebar which you need to edit the template code to change. Search the template code for <!– Replace with your 125 x 125 ads –> and then look right below that for the three lines of ad code which are:

<a href="http://www.widgetbucks.com/home.page?referrer=7116002"><img src="http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh92/eblogtemplates/adstheme/banner-widgetbucks.gif" border="0px" /></a>

<a href="http://www.linkworth.com/?a=10230"><img src="http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh92/eblogtemplates/adstheme/banner-linkworth2.gif" border="0px" /></a>

<a href="http://www.text-link-ads.com/?ref=2164"><img src="http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh92/eblogtemplates/ads/text_link_ads_F_125x125.gif" border="0px" /></a>

If you’ve got ads to place in here, then just paste the code into the template. I recommend signing up for your own Text Link Ads account and using them. Each referral you convert, you get $20 (or $25 I forget). If you don’t have ads to use, you can either leave our default ads or delete this widget altogether.

Recent Posts and Comments Widgets

This one is easy to setup since we’ve already written an entire article dedicated to this. Please see “How to Setup Recent Comments and Posts Widgets” to configure these two widgets.

Recent Readers Widget

You’ll need to have MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog accounts if you want to use this widget. The default widget will show the original author’s pictures so please either delete this widget or change the account ids to your own. Once you’ve setup these up, then edit the template code and search for
<!-- Replace "2007112507294841" with your your mybloglog id -->
and then replace the account numbers with yours.

Live Traffic Feed Widget

This is a really cool feature within this template and the best part is you don’t need to do anything to setup it up! There are some further options if you click on “options >>” on your actual blog page under the widget but that’s it.

You should now have the template all setup and ready to go. I hope you enjoy this beauty and please make sure to keep the footer links intact since numerous hours of my time and the original designer were put into making it. That’s all we ask for giving away this template! Enjoy!

Special thanks to Eric over at Blogging Secret for designing this wonderful template originally for WordPress.

Revision History

Update (3/3/08) - Per a couple requests and to make this template even more flexible, I’ve changed how underlined links are handled. You can now edit the underlined color via the Blogger “Fonts and Colors” section along with 10+ additional other color variables. Less work for you having to mess with the .css template code now.

Update (3/5/08) – Added in post author tags so you can toggle the “By Author Name” within the posts. Also compressed the css so the file is much slimmer and cleaner.

Update (3/14/08) – The individual posts Google AdSense code block was missing and has now been added to the template code.

Update (4/18/08) - Fixed layout screen so the two widgets aren’t overlapping.

After hours of code editing and tweaking, I’d like to welcome WP Premium Red to the eBlog Templates library. This gorgeous and powerful three column fixed width template originally designed for WordPress, can now be yours for free (all I ask of you is to please keep the footer links intact as a token of our hard work making this for you).

I’m sure most of you have seen this premium free theme before and wished it was available for Blogger. Many WordPress users were shocked to see this theme available by R.Bhavesh for free, including myself. I love the simple yet nicely laid out design. It reminds me a lot of the ProBlogger site which is in a league of it’s own.

I’d also like to note that there are no javascript external file dependencies in this Blogger template. Most free templates you download with javascript features link out to an external .js file and while the template might work well at first, it’s only a matter of time before it breaks.

All of the template images are also hosted on our Pro Photobucket account which has unlimited bandwidth. For you that means the images will always be there and not suddenly disappear at the end of the month. You might want to copy these images to your own server regardless just so you’ve got complete control of them.

This Blogspot template includes all the features of the original WordPress theme (even the javascript side bar tabs!) and all you need to do is configure them.

Features include:

RSS feed

Feedburner subscribe to email

Three 125×125 ad spots

Dynamically created header tabs

Search bar

Very cool sidebar tab switching without the page reloading (Never used on a Blogger template before!)

Recent comments and posts widgets

Topics and Blogroll widgets

Footer link widget

Configuration

This template was built to make it easy for you to setup without touching much of the code. Most sections were built using widgets so you’ll just need to edit each one accordingly. Follow the steps below to correctly setup the template so it will look like the screen shot above.

Before we begin, I want to point out the very cool sidebar tab switching feature. You probably didn’t notice it right away so look at the search box on the right side. Notice the second tab called “Categories” and click on it. Assuming you’ve got at least one category, you’ll instantly switch without the page reloading. Pretty cool huh? This was part of the original design for WordPress and eBlog Templates specially converted it over to Blogger using Javascript.

Header Tabs

When you first load up the template, you won’t see any tabs. Don’t worry, it’s working properly and you just need to add new tabs. Unlike other Blogger templates, you don’t need to edit the code to add or remove tabs. Just go into the page element area and click on “edit” within the “Top Tabs” widget. Surprise, it’s a simple link list widget so just add as many tabs as you want with ease.

Subscribe to Feed Via Email

This section you actually need to edit the code to make it work properly. It’s wired up to work with Feedburner and all you need to do is pop in your id. Edit the template code and look for this section:

<input type="hidden" value="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~e?ffid=YOUR-FEED-ID-HERE" name="url"/>
<input type="hidden" value="YOUR BLOG NAME HERE" name="title"/>

Replace the YOUR-FEED-ID-HERE and YOUR BLOG NAME HERE with the appropriate values given to you from Feedburner.

If you have an Feedburner account, you’ll want to setup your RSS feed as well. Right above the section you just edited, you’ll find this code:

<a expr:href='data:blog.homepageUrl + "feeds/posts/default"'><span class='rss'/></a>

Replace
<a expr:href='data:blog.homepageUrl + "feeds/posts/default"'>
with something like this
<a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/YOUR-FEED-HERE">
. Read our “How to Setup Feedburner on Blogger” article for more details.

100 x 100 Ad Spots

This section is just an html widget so you can either delete it or paste in a few ads. The default ads will disappear once you fill the html widget box so don’t worry about touching the code. There’s nothing special about the ad formatting. The current ad code looks like this:

<a href="#"><img src="http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh92/eblogtemplates/wppremium/thumb1.gif"/></a>
<a href="#"><img src="http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh92/eblogtemplates/wppremium/thumb2.gif"/></a>
<a href="#"><img src="http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh92/eblogtemplates/wppremium/thumb3.gif"/></a>

Recent Posts & Comments

Next we’re going to move down the sidebar and setup the recent posts and recent comments widgets. Instructions have already been written in another article so please read “How to Setup Your Recent Comments & Posts” post.

Topics and Blogroll

These are just simple link lists so feel free to remove them or add links to them. There’s plenty of sidebar space since there’s two sidebar columns.

Ads Widget

This small html widget defaults to a Text Link Ads button as an example. Once you put something in the html box, this default ad will disappear. If you haven’t heard of Text Link Ads before you might want to take a look. It’s a great site which allows you to sell links on your blog. Read more about Text Link Ads for Blogger.

Footer Link Widget

Just like the original WordPress design, this template also has the option to add footer links to match the top tabs. Unfortunately there isn’t a way in Blogger to automatically print out the same set of tabs so if you want to use this feature you’ll just need to enter the exact same tabs in this link widget.

This is what it should look like once you’ve added a few links. Some people don’t bother even using this widget so feel free to remove it or just not add any links to it.

Thanks to R.Bhavesh for the amazing design and deciding to give it away for free. I’d also like to thank Ivan over at Zona Cerebral for which portions of his template were used in creating this enhanced version. Template was converted into the new xml Blogger format by eBlog Templates.

Revision History

Update (2/15/08): This template has been updated to include the Blogger page element layout editor missing scrollbar fix. I’ve added several new css elements like
body#layout
CSS selector to add CSS styles that adapt templates to the editor.

Update (2/17/08): A bug was found in the search widget of this template (thanks Kenneth) which has been fixed. Anyone who downloaded this template prior to 2/17 will need to either re-download the template or make an easy one character fix to their existing template. I recommend backing up your template before you make this change. The fix is as follows:

Search your existing template for the following bit of code and replace the “s” with a “q“.

value="Search on this blog…" name="<strong><font color="#ff0000">s</font></strong>"

should be

value="Search on this blog…" name="<strong><font color="#ff0000">q</font></strong>"

After you make this change, save your template and the search box should now work properly. Sorry for the bug but at least it’s an easy fix right?

Update (2/18/08): A new bug was found in the individual posts section (thanks Nick). The date was being shown twice in the post header. If you downloaded this template prior to 2/18, you can easily fix this without downloading it again. Go into your template layout editor and edit the blog posts module. Uncheck the 3rd box down and save. It should now be fixed.

Update (4/22/08): The previous 100 x 100 ad spots weren’t very popular and have been replaced with 4 of the more standard 125 x 125 size banners. The default comes with four great ads which you can either keep or replace with your own. I recommend keeping them if you currently don’t have any ads to use. Then click through and sign up with each of the 4 ads and put your own version on your blog instead.

Please welcome the latest Blogger template to our library. eBlog Templates was first to convert this classy web 2.0 styled Red Stamp template. It’s actually better than the original WordPress version since we’ve added in additional features like:

RSS Feed icon in the header

Recent Posts widget

Recent Comments widget

Ads widget

We’ve made this template as easy as possible for you to edit and even change the colors via Blogger’s built in “Fonts & Colors” tool. You don’t need to edit the template code at all (some people are afraid they’ll mess something up if they do) so all the configuration resides within Blogger’s native interface which you’re used to!

Here are the configurations you need to make to get this working properly. First off the header tabs won’t appear when you first install this. You need to go into “Template” => “Page Elements” and then edit the “Top Tabs” widget. Here you can add all the tabs you want which will automatically appear once you save it. No need to add a “Home” tab since it will magically appear once you add just one new tab. You’ll see what I’m talking about once you start playing around with it.

Working your way down the page elements you’ll next come across a widget called “you can change this text he…”. This is the neat red box you see below. Just edit this and change the title as well as enter any text you want in the box. The default text will vanish once you save it.

The other cool widgets you need to configure are easy as well. The “Recent Posts” and “Recent Comments” widgets are very simple. Read this post on how to easily set them up.

The Ads widget is just an html text box so you can put any sort of banner ad code in there. The default Text Link Ads button will automatically disappear once you do this. You can also of course remove the Ads widget altogether if you don’t want it.

You don’t need to configure the RSS Feed icon. We’ve set it up to work automatically for you!

Thanks to the folks over at AskGraphics for designing this template for WordPress. We love converting cool themes like this one so Blogger and Blogspot users can pimp their blogs too.
