It’s an ideal template for someone who loves Apple’s look and or gadgets. Of course, if that it not your personality you can still download the template and use it however you like.

Some of the cool widgets this template includes are:

Header Tabs

Search Box

RSS Feed

Recent Posts

Recent Comments

AdSense

Everything works straight out of the box so no template code editing. You do have to configure some of these widgets before they will show up on your blog. To setup the recent posts and recent comments widgets please read “How to setup your recent posts/comments” article.

For the header tabs to appear, you need to edit that widget (it’s just a link list) within the Blogger page element screen. Just start adding new tabs and you’ll see them magically appear. No need to add a “Home” tab because it’s built into the default template.

All the widgets are movable (even the search box and rss feed) so you can reposition them to your heart’s content.

All images are hosted on our dedicated Pro photobucket account so you don’ t need to worry about broken images or hosting them yourself. If you’re more comfortable moving the images to your own server then go for it. I actually would just to know I’m in control of my images.

This template was designed by Nicola Di Trento (who for some reason is difficult to track down) for WordPress originally. Jacky or myself couldn’t find a link to his site to give him proper credit. iWork was converted into the new Blogger xml template by Jacky Supit and enhanced by eBlog Templates.

Revision History

4/16/08 – Created live demo site, Blogger AdSense code now works in between posts, added adstart & adend tags, added Feedjit widget, moved header title up.

All the images are pre-hosted so just download the template and install it. This template requires at least one single widget so if you don’t already have an HTML/Javascript widget setup, you will want to create it first. Here’s the widget code you’ll need to add once you’ve setup the empty HTML/Javascript widget:

<a accesskey=”4? href=”http://yoursite.blogger.com/about” title=”">About

It’s a little tricky so hopefully you can figure it out! If not, please post your questions below so we can answer them.

Alright folks, this is the enhanced version of the original Mush Blue Blogger template. Actually this template was originally created by Mukka-mu as a WordPress theme but it was so popular, it was converted into an xml Blogger format. This template is kind of a spacey or underwater scene with a cool blue amoeba-like header graphic. This template would work well with most businesses or personal sites.

Lots of people who have downloaded this template from JackBook have experienced problems because the images and javascript files aren’t working. It’s not his fault that the template is so popular and the image bandwidth runs out every day so you can’t blame him. So to circumvent that issue we’ve taken Jack’s work one step further and all images and javascript files are already hosted so you just need to download and install the template.

Not only that, but we’ve also added the RSS feed icon and search box which aren’t available in other downloads of this template. You’ll also notice that header tabs are dynamic and will show up once you edit the link widget. Just look for the “Top Tabs” widget box in Blogger page element edit mode. It will look like this:

You don’t need to add a “Home” tab since it will automatically appear once you add a new tab. Add as many tabs as you want and link them to wherever you like!

PLEASE READ: There’s one important configuration you need to make in order for the date to display properly on each post. After you install the Mush Blue template, go to your Blogger’s “Settings” => “Formatting” and look for “Timestamp Format”. Make sure you change it to this format: “Tuesday, January 25,2008″ as shown below.

This needs to be set in this format otherwise the date won’t show up properly on each of your posts! Actually the date will most likely be blank and you’ll think the template is broken.

<strike>If you do have your own website I would recommend moving the javascript file to your own server. Then you won’t be dependent on another server to host it and see the famous “disk quota max reached” message. This file formats the date of each post so it’s important to have. (Thanks to Jack S. for coding it!)</strike>

<strike>Step #1
Download the .js file from here. Then save the file locally. Next you’re going to want to upload it to your website (not Blogger though).</strike>

<strike>Step #2
Then you want to update your Mush Blue Blogger template and point it to the new location. You’re going to change line number 8 which looks like this:</strike>

<strike></strike>

<strike>to something like this where you uploaded the mod_date.js file:</strike>

<strike></strike>

<strike>Now save your Blogger template and make sure the date is properly being displayed still. If not, you didn’t do it correctly.</strike>

Revision History

1/20/08 - I’ve rewritten the template code so you no longer need a separate .js file for the date to work properly. If you’ve downloaded this template previously (prior to 1/20/08), I’d recommend downloading it again so you’ve got the latest version. If this is your first time downloading this template from our site, then you can ignore this since you’ll be getting the latest version for free.

2/1/08 – Now includes the rss feed widget, search widget, header tabs link widget, and a header bug fix (thanks to Nick for catching it) . If you want these great new out of the box features you’ll just need to download the template again.

4/17/08 – Fixed the top nav “edit” button so you can now add tabs. Also added FeedIt widget, created demo site, added missing footer feed link, and compressed the css so the template loads faster.

Looking for the WordPress version? Your wish is our command. Here’s the WordPress Mush Blue theme!

This blogger template is converted from a WordPress Theme called FTW, created by Flisterz from flisterz.com. It’s got lots of cool features such as a calendar image for each post. The best part is you don’t need to link to other sites with Javascript or change any urls to make it work. We at eBlog Templates have done all the work for you so this feature just works right out of the box!

The search form has been embedded, so the only thing you need to set is just the menu on the top right. You’ll want to edit the code and look for the following section to edit the tabbed menu items:

Home

Contact Us

About Us

RSS Feed

The only items you want to tinker with are the “Contact Us” and “About Us” list items. You can of course add more but don’t change the “Home” or “RSS Feed” tabs because they are automatically setup.

There’s also a cool “Ads” widget which defaults to our Google AdSense ads. The widget is a html text box so once you plugin your ad code, our default code will disappear. We didn’t want a big empty space to appear on your blog and it’s better to show an example instead of nothing!

All the images are hosted using our Pro Photobucket account (unlimited bandwidth) so your images will work all the time unlike other sites that offer this same template!

Thanks to Jack Supit for converting this template into the new xml Blogger format.

This stylish red, white, and black template was originally created by Carl Mason for WordPress and called SummerFruit but has been ported over to a Blogger template. The Blogger template name is called “Red White Web 2.0″ which you’ll notice when you download the .zip.

Regardless of the name, this template is pretty cool. Unlike other sites, you don’t need to paste in any code into the template. The search box and RSS image with feed work right out of the box! Also, the images are hosted on our bullet proof image server with unlimited bandwidth so your blog will never be without it’s skin.

The only piece you need to configure are the tabs across the top which is easy. Just edit the template via Blogger page elements and look for the “Top Tabs” page element. This is just a link widget so add the links you want to appear at the top of your blog. You’ll see what I mean once you tinker with it. Easy as pie! Most templates require you to actually edit the template source code to setup these links. Not us!

There’s also an “Ads” widget pre-installed with this template which you’re free to remove or configure to your liking. It’s an html widget box so once you paste in your own ad code, the default Text Link Ads ad will disappear.

Oh, one other thing to mention. Sometimes you don’t have the date format properly setup for it to work with this Blogger template. If the date doesn’t show up on each post, then you need to go fix your Timestamp Format setting. Go to “Settings” => “Formatting” and look for “Timestamp Format” which you want to be like this:

Thanks again to Jack for converting this template into an xml Blogger/Blogspot version. We love his work and sometimes just build or enhance his templates even more (like this one!).
