NewZen Template
NewZen for Blogger is an interesting Blogger theme with AJAX sidebar menu (yes, it is possible to use AJAX with Blogger templates). This theme has been modified from its WordPress version, which is originally designed by Fauxzen. WordPress version of this template can be found at here).
NOTE: This template is for Classic Blogger and will not work with the new xml Blogger templates.

- Recent comments on sidebar
- Integrated Google Sitesearch
This is a free template released under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 License. This means that you can use this template for your personal or commercial blog, edit it according to your needs, and even re-distribute it as long as you keep the credit links at footer.
Please read and understand the notes at the end of this page for detailed descriptions of the features of this template before you download and start using it.
Installation:
Download the theme archive package.Unzip the package and go to images folder. Upload all of the images to a free image host (such as imageshack.us), and write down the given links.Open theme.txt with a text editor (like notepad), then search for /* Theme Images */.Replace the image file names with links you have taken from your image host, and then save.Select all text from theme.txt by pressing CTRL+A, then copy by pressing CTRL+C.Go to “Blogger dashboard > Template”, and after deleting the old codes, paste your theme code by pressing CTRL+V, then save and republish your blog.
All images are now hosted for free on our unlimited bandwidth image server. Just download, install and you’re off to the races. Enjoy! Remember, this is for the old Classic Blogger template mode and will not work with the xml Blogger template.

Blogger doesn’t accept the final code.. I’ve uploaded the images, changed the link names correctly, but blogger gives me an XML error:
XML: The content of elements must consist of well-formed character data or markup.

Sorry, I should have mentioned it but this template only works with the old “Classic Blogger”. You probably tried to use it with the new xml Blogger mode and that’s why you got an error. You can either try again using Classic Blogger or pick another template from our site. Sorry for the confusion!

You’d go into “Template” => “Edit HTML” and at the bottom of the page you’ll see a link that says “Revert to Classic Template”. Then you’ll be back in Classic HTML mode and you can use this template.
Just remember, you will lose any widgets or sidebar elements from the xml Blogger so hopefully you don’t have any you want to keep.
