PassionDuo Blue Template

Click to enlarge PassionDuo Blue Blogger template

Here is the blue version of our latest make money blogger template first converted here at eBlog Templates. This amazing PassionDuo template for Blogger comes in three colors: red, blue, and green. The green version will eventually become available so if red or blue isn’t your thing, you might want to wait.

This template includes several popular ad formats for your blog. You get a 468 x 60 banner spot in the header, six 125 x 125 banner spots in the right sidebar, and plenty of other sidebar spots for skyscraper banners.

We’ve also included our popular sidebar widgets such as Recent Posts, Recent Comments, and the cool Feedjit (real time visitor widget). Just paste in your blog rss feed urls into the Recent Posts & Comments widgets and they’ll start working.

Unlike most other custom make money blogger templates, we’ve taken the extra step and setup the “Fonts & Colors” functionality. That means you can change all the colors and font styles easily by just using the built in Blogger section. We’ve also customized the comments section so it looks very professional as well.

PassionDuo also includes top tabs which can be added via your Blogger page element screen. The rss feed icon will automatically appear once you add your first tab so don’t be alarmed after you first install it.

Configuring the rest of this template is actually quite easy. You can swap out the ads and replace them with your own or feel free to keep the existing ones if you don’t have any to use. Make sure you check the “Expand Widget Templates” checkbox on the “Edit HTML” page within Blogger before trying to make any edits. Also make sure to backup your old template just in case you make a mistake.

Let’s start with the 468 x 60 header banner. Search for “<!-- Delete or replace with your ad -->” in the template code and the first one you come across is where you replace the ad.

The second instance of “<!-- Delete or replace with your ad -->” is for the Google AdSense code which you can either keep, replace, or just remove completely.

For the six 125 x 125 banner ads you’ll need to find “<!-- Replace with your ads -->” and update those one by one. Make sure not to delete the <li> and </li> before and after each ad otherwise it will look funny. If you don’t already have ads to use, I recommend clicking through each banner and become an affiliate. Then you can replace the affiliate codes with your own and start making money!

The theme was created for Daily Blog Tips by DesignSaurus as a WordPress theme. eBlog Templates converted this theme into Blogger which you can download for free once you register.

Hi, as SoccerVision said before, I would also like to change the width of the template. I went to the html tab and looked for the with and everything but i cant find it. Its too confusing. What i want to do is change the width of the main wrapper to make it smaller and make the sidebar bigger. An example of this is this Ads Theme template

PLease, i reallly need this because i want to start posting on my blog and get it going. Thank you

Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The entity name must immediately follow the ‘&’ in the entity reference.

That is the error message i get for everyone one of your templates, im installing it on an empty blog with no previous widgets. I have tried clicking the expand widget box before uploading and not clicking the expand widget box before uploading. I don’t know what to do.

Okay, this template isn’t working. I downloaded it and it gave me one file with extension xtml and that file was a garbled mess of code.

What exactly am I supposed to be doing with the file after downloading?

I have used blogger templates but they were easy and had instructions on installing. I have also been doing my own html on Blogger for about 4 years. I can’t make sense of how the downloads work here though. New to the site as you can tell. 😳

Need some help, please.

freefood on Aug 12, 2008, 12:26 pm

I should have added that the problem is when I unzip the file. It defaults to unzip in IE and I get this message:

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

——————————————————————————–

The server did not understand the request, or the request was invalid. Error processing resource ‘http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtm…

I then tried to copy and past the directory to Flock which is what I use and at it showed part of the template but all jumbled and most missing.

freefood on Aug 12, 2008, 12:52 pm

Well, this is interesting. I sent myself the zip file and opened on an old computer with a way outdated operating system and Windows IE 5.5.

I installed the zip to my drive and when I opened it, it came up in Windows IE 5.5 fine, with all the template code.

Don’t know why it won’t open in the newest versions of various browsers (Firefox, Flock, IE) but that is an FYI for you. I am on XP on this computer. So, I will give it a try and report back how it goes. Thanks.

Blog Step Wise on Aug 12, 2008, 10:08 pm

Just unzip the file and go to layout, edit html, upload a template, browse select your file and the new template will work.

freefood on Aug 12, 2008, 10:43 pm

Unfortunately, that didn’t work. When I upzipped it, kept getting code that became jibberish on the upload into Blogger, so the template didn’t work. Then I tried other templates and the same thing. Tried it on two different computers with different operating systems and even different unzip programs.

I finally saved it as a different file name and in a different area and I think it is working now. 😆

Thanks for the help!

I will try to customize it and see how it works and get back to you.

theboisepicayune on Sep 6, 2008, 12:28 pm

I appreciate the free nature of your templates; but they’re of little use if they won’t install.

Rather than piecemeal advise, could we please have the corrected code to install in blogger.

I’m starting with a virgin blog account (other than the one currently in use), and would think this would be as simple as could be.

Constant error message is:

Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.

XML error message: The document type declaration for root element type “html” must end with ‘>’.

Thank You

David, thanx for a goog template. I have used it for my blog http://gangetic.blogspot.com. But I need your help on 2 things.
1)My post urls on home page do not show post titles when taken mouse over them. This feature is very much there in classic blogger templates. My question is how to add post title in the title attribute?

2) How to add a logo in the header to the left of my Blog Title Tech Aspiration and Blog Description?

I have searched a lot on internet for these 2 features to be added but could not find any code.

Please show some light on this.

HI,
i downloaded the templated and used it for my blog.but, when i replace the ads section with my ad code from adsense, the ads are not showing up.Genrally the codes will show up instantly.
I saw ur way of putting ads thr..U were using a tiny url link and an image link…is that the only way or just a copy-paste of the adsense code should work.
Please suggest

This template rocks man. I am on to tweaking it.
I owe you lots! 🙄

I am tweaking this template at my blog. Every time I put my 480×60 banner code it returns this message:

Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The reference to entity “group” must end with the ‘;’ delimiter.

Please help.
Thanks

I am tweaking this template for my two blogs. I encountered some error but I handled it except this header banner and the main ads. I really had trouble trying to fixed it. My ads simply don’t show up when I changed it. I waited 10 and more minutes for my ads to display but nothing. Does anyone here have the same experience? How did you solve it. Please help. Thank You!

I really do like this template, but I do have a bit of a problem.
In using it, and replacing the 125X125 banner ads, they all lined up one under the other, instead of a 3 rows of 2.

Please look over to my blog and let me know of any possible fix.
Thanks
