Tauren is one of the ThemeSpinner premium WordPress themes and is one of my favorites from their site. The pricing is reasonable especially the unlimited license which allows you to use on all your blogs.

This theme is WP 2.5+ compatible, widget ready, Adsense ready, gravatar ready, unlimited support, and the PSDs are even included.

This is one of many nice premium WordPress themes created by ThemeSpinner.com and if you don’t like this layout and/or color scheme, you can browse their other premium themes and choose another one.

This nice premium WordPress theme has some great features like a magazine-style home page with an animated featured posts section (that uses mootools which is a very popular javascript library). It also has several spots to place all your ads like 125 x 125 button ads or a 468 x 60 header banner so it’s quite flexible. Very nicely designed and full of great features so I highly recommend it.

This is a great series of premium WordPress themes created by Brian and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quick way to skin their blog with such professional style.

If you’re not an Obama fan don’t let that deter you from purchasing this theme. You can of course swap out his image and put McCain’s picture there instead.  : -)

Overall, this theme is great and stands up with the best like Adii’s Premium News and Brian’s Revolution series. The only thing I don’t like is the fish header image and dotted background which I’m sure can be easily swapped out. It would be great for a personal or fun website, but for a business or professional site it’s a bit too much for me.

It’s beautifully laid out and reminds me of Netflix which is a linear layout for selecting your movies. Video Elements allows you to embed your videos in two different ways, including the “Instant View” which allows users to instantly view any video on your site by selecting the video thumbnail, and within the single post page where the video is featured right above your post description.

This theme comes with a fully integrated and customized version of “mediabox” developed by Iaian7. Click on a thumbnail and the video of your choice is launched in a full screen “ajax” window. Currently, this feature supports several video formats including YouTube, Google Video, MetaCafe, DailyMotion, FLV (Flash) Video, Quicktime and Windows Media Video.

If you wanted to hire a professional theme designer to build this type of theme for your blog, it would cost several hundred dollars. Luckily you can buy this great premium video theme for $25!

There is also plenty of room for adding ads if you wish to magnetize your blog. The space is large enough to accommodate 250px banner ads or four to six 125×125px “box” ads. Social bookmarking links have been ingenuously built into the footer of each post.

Overall, the theme features two columns with the ability to widgetize the sidebars and three column footer. This theme design as you can tell is of top quality work and the template code is well written. The Charred WordPress theme features post thumbnails which means you’ll have to use WordPress custom Fields when writing a post. If you’ve never used a custom field before it’s pretty easy to learn.

So here’s how it works. When writing a new post you’ll first have to create a 140 x 140 thumbnail image that you want to use for your post. After it’s ready upload it, and then create a new custom field called “thumbnail”.

You’ll only need to enter the word “thumbnail” into the “Key” field the first time. For each new post after that, it will automatically appear in the drop down box so just select it. The upload your new image, get the image url, and then paste it into the “Value” field. Don’t forget to click the “Update” action button each time.
