Important – Please Read Before Purchasing

This template does NOT work with the older Blogger Classic layout. Please make sure you are NOT using Classic layout before purchasing this template. Most bloggers are now using the newer layout so you most likely don’t need to worry. Also, eBlog Templates is not the original designer of this template. It was originally designed by WordPress theme mastermind, Brian Gardner. We have spoken directly with Brian and with his approval, have converted it to Blogger and made it available for sale. If you are a WordPress user, you can download his theme for free without any support (only works on WordPress not Blogger).

So why do I have to pay for this template then?

The cost of this template covers the many days of labor and effort put into converting this amazing design into a premium Blogger template as well as building the step-by-step video series. Your purchase does include the complete instructional “how to install and configure” the Revolution Church Blogger template video series. If you think about it, it’s actually a small price to pay for such a functional, advanced, and professional Blogger template. Buy this premium Blogger template now!

Refund Policies

Since this is a digital product there are no refunds after payment has been made. Please make 100% sure you want this template before making the purchase. You also need to be willing to spend 30-60 minutes configuring the template before it looks like the live demo. Our free video installation series will make it easy. We want you to be successful!

Since we can’t test every single Blogger gadget (including 3rd party gadgets) we can’t promise they will all work with this template. Every blog is different and some of your existing gadgets might not be compatible which means either the gadget will need to be removed or modified accordingly. We do provide community-level support which means posting your questions as comments. The installation videos that accompany this template are designed for skills of all levels.

Ive got the same problem with recent posts and comments. Cant change them and they dont show..

Hi, I just purchased this template, I am following the instructional videos and when I got to upload the template it is telling me that it cannot be saved:

Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The value of attribute “href” associated with an element type “null” must not contain the ‘<’ character.

Anybody know what I should be adjusting in the code to get this to work? Thanks!

Adam

Nevermind, I figured out what I did wrong! Sorry for posting prematurely.

David on Mar 16, 2009, 10:06 pm

@Sunga, sounds like you’ve got an older version of this template. Blogger recently (Feb 09) made some changes to their system that affected all our templates. I can either email you the latest version or you can easily fix this yourself.

You’ll want to rename the “Categories” id to “Label33″. Basically any further error messages you get you will need to rename them to match but with a number appended to the end. Sounds silly but that’s Google Blogger for you. ;-)

David on Mar 16, 2009, 10:08 pm

@Adam, it sounds like you accidentally deleted a ‘<‘ somewhere in the template. I would recommend starting over (hopefully you haven’t spent too much time on it already). Another option would be to do a search within the template code and look for the “a href” that is missing a ‘<‘ at the beginning of it. Good luck!

Can i get the customisation instructions in written form and not video? It is such a hassle to view them in my part of the world.

Thanks

David.
Purchased the template today. I am unable to remove the header ad banner widget from inside the layout section(I had to leave text after unsuccessfully putting adsense code in there. can that be done in html? if so where do I start cutting and where do I end? Also, if I want to pop adsense code in there as a placeholder, where/how can I do that? thanks!

ok, I found this and it removed the entire section:

back40 on Mar 18, 2009, 9:14 am

Me again.
I tried to use the template a 2nd time and a widget has appeared. adsense 34. I am unable to delete the widget in layout, and I am not sure what line of code to properly delete without making the page geek out. which line of code should I remove to get rid of this? I was hoping the paid for version wouldnt have the issues like all the free ones. bummer
thanks

Hi David,

I am not sure if you saw my earlier comment. But, i believe there’s still major issues with the “recent posts and comments” widget. It doesn’t work. Just a blank uneditable window. I have literally tried everything. Andy, Prabu and Menno all have the same prob too. So there’s quite a few of us that can’t solve this. Any Suggestions?

David on Mar 21, 2009, 5:49 pm

@Ryan, let me take a deeper look into it and get back to you. I don’t like to hear when customers have problems like this.

David on Mar 21, 2009, 5:57 pm

@back40, it sounds like you’ve got a widget setup still from your previous template. Go into “Layout” => “Page Elements” and then click “edit on the “Blog Posts” widget. Then scroll down and uncheck “Show ads between posts”. That should remove the ad(s) you are referring to.

David on Mar 21, 2009, 6:42 pm

@Ryan and everyone else who is having trouble with the “Recent Comments” and “Recent Posts” gadgets. I’ve done some research and the bad news is Blogger has made a change that prevents these gadgets from working.

The good news is there’s a workaround. You will need to delete these gadgets and then create two brand new ones from within Blogger.

From the “Edit Layout” page click “Add a Gadget” and scroll down until you get to the “Feed” gadget. Click the plus sign and add it. Now paste in your blogger feed rss url and click “continue”. Save it and do it once more for the “recent comments” box.

Does that make sense for everyone?

Ryan D on Mar 23, 2009, 7:56 am

David,

This works perfectly well. Thanks for the help. Appreciate it.

Adam on Mar 25, 2009, 1:24 pm

I still cant actually delete the recent post and comments box, I have added new ones but I cant get rid of the old ones. Anyone else have this issue?

Also, how can I completely remove the the ad in the header? I cant delete that either, any thoughts?

Adam on Mar 26, 2009, 9:56 am

Whats most important is that I get rid of the ad in the header does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

Kathy Dannel Vitcak on Mar 28, 2009, 4:57 pm

Hi David…I just spent all day adding the Polaroid blog template and now I see you ahve this one -m hahahaha! Will it import all my widgets or do I ahve to hand do it???

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!!!!

KathyDV

David on Apr 1, 2009, 4:18 pm

Kathy, your widgets should still exist when you switch templates but be careful just in case. Take a screenshot and also backup your existing template just to be safe.

David on Apr 1, 2009, 4:23 pm

Adam, did you try removing the widget? You can also edit the header ad widget and just put a blank space in there too. That will automatically remove the placeholder ad.

Wonderful Template m8.
I bought it and its fantastic, just one problem.
The add in the Header is a bummer. You can’t just put a space in the text and save it, it doesn’t let you. I managed to hide the image by typing anything and saving it.
I typed “rr” and the add was deleted but now i see the “rr” in the middle of my header. Anything i can do to just get rid of it?

J. Anthony on Apr 17, 2009, 10:58 am

@Solid – Instead of typing RR, just type a “period” and make sure it’s in the same color as either the background or your title. You have to play with it a little, but it’s not too obvious. You can see it on my site: PositivePelham.com. The period is actually right below the top curve of the “c” in .com in the title.

Hope that helps.

J.

Solid on Apr 17, 2009, 11:32 am

@J
Thanks a million, it worked quite well. You can only see it if you highlight or just look really close.

Hey once again. I have another question that is eating me alive because i can’t figure it out =S.

I want to make some tabs “Home/About/Contact/etc” but the thing is that i don’t know how they work. I know how to make them ( i watched your video David) but i dont understand some things.

For example. Say i want to have an about Tab that whoever clicks on it, it will show them a new page with “about me” info. In that logic, it should be ” http://www.tehphase.com/about” but that page does not exist.
I thought of making a blog post with the “about me” info and linking the “About” button to that post, but that is not what others do. How do other bloggers make their Tab buttons link to pages like “www.yourblog.com/abour me” or “www.yourblog.com/contact”?
I would appreciate it if you would answer and help me out.
Thanks.

Al on Apr 19, 2009, 6:27 am

David,

first of all thank you for this nicely converted template. I bought it a couple of weeks ago and so far, i am really happy with it. There is just only one thing: Could you tell me how to create “sub pages” for the nav bar menu? I think i found on other pages (e.g. http://newhuntingexperience.blogspot.com) sth. like this:

Sample Page

Sub Page #1

Sub Sub Page #1

Unfortunately, I couldnt find those lines in the code (guess thats because its already widgenized for the layout section ;-) But anyway, maybe you could help with that issue – cause this would move this template from “good” to “perfect” for sure.

Best wishes, Al

It is really nice yar ! And buddy I re-edited your Blogger theme with some customizations! Is it legal to let people download it from my blog ? ..

Davidd Cowgill on Apr 19, 2009, 8:10 pm

David, I’m creating a Blog in will be published in five languages (the same content). They’ll be exactly the same, only in different languages. My questions are: May I put the links in the side bar directing to other languages with a image link? I’d have to pay five times? The blog is the same but I use five different url’s in Blogspot.
Thanks!

I am trying to remove the star rating from the template. I had someone remove the part that references similar posts, but the star rating stayed behind, and I can’t locate it on the HTML coding. I need a pointer in the right direction. Thanks.

David on May 6, 2009, 4:55 pm

The star rating is an option within Blogger that you just disable. It doesn’t need to be changed in the template code.

I am having problems activating the “Recent Posts” and “Recent Comments” widgets. When I click on them the “Configure Feed” window opens but it does not have any fields inside so nothing can be inputed.

I am wondering if this has anything to do with a change in the feed id structure. In “Revolution Church Blogger Installation – Part #2″ video the feed id mentioned is something like “1503904″. Now it seems to be more like “kfpsmmck1odq2ka973ma983lgs” : the following is the actual URL: http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/publicize?id=kfpsmmck1odq2ka973ma983lgs

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards
José Manuel

@Scott, you don’t need to open the file. Just import it into Blogger when it asks for a template.

David on Jun 9, 2009, 9:59 pm

For some reason Photobucket is having problems serving up images for all templates on this site. I’ve contacted them directly and it should be resolved soon.

Short-term solution – If you move all the images to your own image hosting site (photobucket is free) then you won’t have to rely on our images (which have never been a problem up until today.

Thanks,

David

Victoria Westcott on Jun 16, 2009, 9:46 am

Hi David, Thanks for this. I am considering purchasing the template but just want to check a couple of things first.

A couple of companies have approached me about placing ads on my current blog. My blog is for teachers doing research into teaching in London, England, so these companies fit with our general theme. I really don’t want my blog to be filled with random adsense type ads, so I’m looking for a new template that will allow me to place ads from the companies.

It looks like this template will work. Am I right? Will I then be able to say to the companies, “Please make your ad X by Z in width/height and I’ll put it up”? I am so not an expert on HTML and really, should just hire someone to do this for me (anyone out there want to do this?).

Also, they have asked if they can do “pay per click” – will this template support that? I have no idea what I’m doing in this regard, but someone out there must. Hopefully it’s you! :-)

I’ve been a blogger/blogspot user for years, so I’m comfortable with their format and like the look of this template. I also would change the colours to fit my green apple theme, but judging by the other bloggers on here it looks like that will be possible.

Any guidance you can offer will be great!
Thanks!
Victoria

When you try to edit them the window opens but there is no content within the window to update the Feed.
Really impressed with the Blog so it would be great to be able to solve this problem and get it fully up and running.

Hi David,

Great template conversion and loving it on my site. I am trying to add clickable links next to the news feed and comments feed rss’s at the very top right hand corner of the blog and can’t figure out how to do it.

Help!

DLindberg49 on Sep 3, 2009, 3:02 pm

I love this template and it has been stable for quite a while. I just tried to add a blogger gadget and didn’t like it so I removed it. All of a sudden my Sponsor ads were all out of alignment. I then removed the Sponsor gadget that comes with the template and no ads show. Then I uploaded my most recent template backup which was only a couple of days old and even though the Sponsor gadget is back..the ads don’t show. There is a period in the Sponsor widget when I open it and if I remove it, I can’t save the widget. So I have lost my ads. Can anyone help with this?

DLindberg49 on Sep 3, 2009, 7:41 pm

Additional – it seems as though I can’t get rid of the period (.) in the Sponsors gadget because it won’t save if the field is empty. I guess that period is what is making my ads, which are still in the HTML code of the template, not show up at all.

Dinesh on Oct 7, 2009, 10:37 pm

I have bought this template few days back, but some this is missing there in the template. The old post and new post option is invisible and not showing them. I have tried a lot in making them to visible but no use in it. I recommend not to buy this template until the problem is resolved.

Note for this template developer: Fix them!

With Regards

Hi David–
I purchased this template from you–love it!–and I’m wondering if you have plans to release Revolution Church 2 for Blogger? Could you let us know?

Thanks!
Chris

No plans at this time but that could change. ;-)

David on Oct 15, 2009, 3:34 pm

@Alex, you need to check that box within Feedburner to enable email subscriptions. It’s mentioned in the video.

David on Oct 15, 2009, 3:37 pm

@Bob, I’ve just resent you the download link. Make sure to make a backup copy of the template before you get too creative this time. ;-)

Hi David!

I’m very excited to start using the Revolution template that I just downloaded. I’ve also really enjoyed the video tutorials–well done!

I have two questions: I’ve purchased a URL from Go Daddy that I have forwarded to my Blogger account. In one of your videos, I think, you mentioned how I can remove the word blogspot in my Blogger URL. Please direct me where I can find that information?

My second question is how can I upload my pic, so that it will show up next to my comment?

Thank you!

Antonio

Sunga on Oct 29, 2009, 7:12 pm

Smith,

I suggest you contact David through the support email you got when you purchased the template or comb the forum.

I found him helpful…unless there is something else we don’t know about your situation. You might just end up embarrassing yourself. Really.

Hey Sunga,

I decided to move on with another template. I didnt like the service from this site and the template doesn’t work. If i wanted to play around with debugging bugs i would have wrote the template myself. decided to take the loss and wrote of the money i spent on this template. template is nice to look but if it doesn’t work on a fresh install (basically an upload) im wasting my time.

was pissed yesterday but not anymore..
